Moral of the story - Beware when dealing with Stayz that you are in fact still dealing with them...make sure payment is to them and not to anyone else.We've used Stayz in the past a few times and they were OK.
It is hard to tell when they tell you to contact this person - whether they are sending you to the owner who is dealing with Stayz or if they are sending you to another company and essentially wiping their hands of you and your rental. These days however Air BnB would be our first port of call.
