Rico was an approachable, sincere man, who always made time to say hi. The 70's and 80's were the NHL's best period.All of my thoughts and prayers go out to Rick's wife and boys, and to ALL of the guys who played with Rick in the early days. Although I am a lifelong Boston Bruins fan, I had nothing but respect and admiration for Rick Martin. He will never be forgotten, RIP #7. Mon joueur de hockey favori. He was traded to Los Angeles but played just four games with the Kings and was finished in the NHL before his 31st birthday.There was acrimony for a number of years with the Sabres, as Martin, the team and insurance companies were entangled in several lawsuits.
