Another very enjoyable book based on neuroscience -- here, the authors argue that the number one, original and most important role of a leader is emotional. It is about the leader’s ability to frame and deliver a message that resonates with their followers’ emotional reality and sense of purpose, and it motivates them to take action in a specific direction. It would be great for a class or an executive coaching program. Primal leadership offers a healthy balance of scholastic approach to emotional intelligence and the application of that intelligence. There is a section pretty early on that goes over a lot of the competencies associated with emotional intelligence.
